Avocado Cilantro Lime Sauce

Avocado Cilantro Lime Sauce

Hi friends! I wanted to send a note to share a quick, bold sauce for Taco Tuesday! This avocado, cilantro and lime sauce is so full of flavor, you don’t need a bunch of other fussy stuff on the plate. It’s perfect!

I got this recipe from Amber over at Simply Made Recipes. She calls it “Bomb Sauce” and I definitely see why! I am going to put it on everything! It will obviously be great on taco nights, but it would also amazing with toast and a fried egg, on top of a salad with some roasted corn or on crispy roasted potatoes. YUM!

This sauce comes together in minutes and you can keep it airtight in the fridge for up to 5 days if it will last that long! I’m sure I’ll be sneaking in the fridge with a tortilla chip or two dipping my way through the rest of the day! Enjoy!

Ingredients
  • 1 avocado
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 bunch cilantro
  • 1/2 lime, juiced
  • 1/2 jalapeno (or to taste)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • salt, to taste
Instructions
  1. Prepare the avocado by cutting lengthwise, removing the seed and scooping out into a food processor or blender.

  2. Add the 3 peeled garlic cloves, cilantro trimmed from stems, juice of 1/2 a lime and jalapeno to taste (start with 1/4 and add more after combined and you do a taste test if you’d like). Pulse a few times to combine.

  3. While food processor or blender is on, drizzle in the olive oil and it will combine into a smooth sauce.

  4. TASTE! Add salt to your liking. Does it need a touch more lime juice or more heat from additional jalapeno?

  5. Store in airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
